These are such great points, Joanne. My husband has also experienced this with his construction business - and it's exactly what you said - what drew you to me? And what is most important to you also to ask- budget, quality, etc. ? As often they have a budget they have to meet, but many times people want the bells and whistles within that budget. ;) But I understand it also as because our type of work/help is considered more 'spiritual' that somehow there should be a 'discount.' But like Annette shared, it often does come down to confidence in what you have to offer. So, such a great topic!!

I believe when we do energy/ healing/ intuitive work, we also hold subconsciously we shouldn't be charging.... so our inner attracts our outer, right? 🙈😄 I see this as the Inner Healing we are all called to face when we encounter situations when we are asked to discount!

I have struggled with this situation many times. I have been told I should charge more, I have also had clients that try to pay less. In the end I think it comes down to confidence in my abilities which I still struggle with and also wanting to be in a price bracket that most people can afford

Thank you for sharing so honestly. The question for reflection is "how do you know what people can afford"? some can't even afford £5 and some can afford more, right?

Yes that's true but as someone who has never earned a big wage I look at it right or wrong from that perspective. I want to help animals, so hopefully I am there for the people who can't afford the higher priced communicators

I hope my article gives clarity and support that as long as communicators' own personal financial circumstances aren't compromised, then that's what matters. As long as your money situation is able to support the choices you make with your communication work, and you feel blessed joyful, that's the energy we must carry. This is why it is so important for communicators to help clients to seek other communicators where needed. It's a wonderful profession whereby we can choose what we charge.
